Pepper thief!

Someone's been eatin' my jalapeno peppers! I had four and now I only have one. I don't think they're being eaten by bugs because the whole little peppers are gone - no sign of them at all. Disappeared without a trace! I just hope the last one doesn't get eaten too. Leave me one please?

Jenn,

No clue to what is eating them? People??

If it was people, I'd know! My best guess is the squirrels.

I've heard birds will do it. I had a ton of starlings out by my peppers this morning, I'd better go check on them. I know the bells were OK, but didn't look at the jalapenos. They had better leave my peppers alone, or granny will go buy a shotgun! I just stocked up on pectin today, looking forward to that hot pepper jelly!

Wonder if they got a bit of a surprise when they ate them (hehe)?

I was going to ask you if my neighbor Jim had stopped in. He steals produce from our garden. Well, if it's a squirrel , he is one HOT rodent!

Granny - Really birds? Do jays or crows like 'em cause we have quite a few of them loitering around the garden. Hope your hot pepper jelly came out great (I a bit behind on my blog reading) Oh noze.

Amy, apparently it was a surprise they liked cause they ate three of them! ::shakes fists at the scoundrels::

Sue, I like your thinking. I'll just blame neighbor Jim every time produce goes missing from my garden. Heh.

Stef, hope you still have all of yours.

Rosey, not sure. I guess it could be coons, we have em. One day they were there, the next they were gone, so who knows.

And yes, the last one is still there. yay.
